“For God so loved [the people of Cabo Verde] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The Republic of Cabo Verde (Cape Verde) is an island country in the central Atlantic Ocean 350 miles off the coast of Western Africa. The tiny nation has a population of about 525,000. Its capital and largest city is Praia. Cabo Verde’s official language is Portuguese. Most citizens are Roman Catholic. Today we pray that the Cabo Verdean people will search the scriptures for themselves (Acts 17:11) and honor God alone as “Father” (Matt. 23:9).
