The People’s Republic of China (Located in East Asia) is the most populous country in the world. Its population is almost 1.4 billion. China borders 14 nations—Vietnam, Laos, Burma, India, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia, and North Korea. China also shares maritime borders with South Korea, Japan, and the Philippines. China’s capital is Beijing. Its largest city is Shanghai. China’s official language is Mandarin. The Communist government promotes atheism and oppresses Christians.

Today we pray that the Chinese people will come to know that “for freedom Christ has set us free” (Gal 5:1).
