“For God so loved [the people of Djibouti] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The Republic of Djibouti is located in the Horn of Africa. Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia are bordering countries. Djibouti is also bordered by the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden. The nation has a population of about 800,000. Its capital and largest city is Djibouti City. The official languages of Djibouti are French and Arabic. The national motto is: “Unity, equality, peace.”
Today we pray that every Djiboutian will know the peace of the unity found in the body of Christ: “For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal. 3:27-28).
