David Wright grew up in Jefferson, Iowa. He comes from a large family–six brothers and three sisters. In 1977, David’s family moved to Fort Madison, Iowa. After graduating from high school there, he went to Montgomery to become a Bible major at Faulkner University.
In 1985, David earned his Bible degree, married Carolyn Auen, and became a full-time Gospel preacher. In 2000, he earned a master’s in New Testament from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. David is a frequent guest speaker on Bible lectureship programs and the author of Real Women, Real Problems. He and Carolyn have two adult children, Hannah Haynes and Josh Wright.
Carolyn grew up in Trinity, Alabama, a small community in the Huntsville-Decatur area. She was born into a large family too–four brothers and two sisters. After graduating from high school and cosmetology school, Carolyn worked for a few years as a hairstylist before deciding to go to college. It was at Faulkner that she met David.
David has served churches of Christ as preaching minister in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Indiana. He and Carolyn moved to Seagoville in 2014. They both love their warm-hearted brothers and sisters in the Seagoville church family. And they both love the great state of Texas!
