Rodney Yarbrough was appointed a deacon in 2013. Son of George and Julie Yarbrough, Rodney was born in Will’s Point and raised in Seagoville, where he attended high school. In 1964, he married his sweet wife, Barbara Ogletree. They have three daughters and one son—Micki, Bobbi, Lea, and Guy. The Yarbroughs also have 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Rodney has pursued an interesting variety of occupations. He has been a mechanic, ranch foreman, welder, farmer, horseshoer, and dirt mover. He was the first fire marshal in Seagoville and the first paid fire department captain. For many years Rodney and Barbara catered parties. During the presidency of George W. Bush, they catered a meal for George and Laura at their ranch in Crawford. Presently, Rodney owns a small custom welding business. In his leisure time, he enjoys fishing and hunting.
