55 And Better

55 and Better is our fellowship group for brothers and sisters–you guessed it–55 and up. The group has been meeting the fourth Thursday evening of every month (except November and December) for more than 20 years. Each gathering begins with a delicious meal. The 55 and Better coordinators, Joyce Jones and Elizabeth Traister, plan menus and invite everyone to pitch in. Once or twice a year the meal is provided. Some form of entertainment usually follows dinner. Past activities have included joke telling, card games, sing-alongs, presentations made by guest speakers from the community, and performances by His Harmony (a talented and popular Southern Gospel a cappella group originally composed exclusively of Seagoville church members).
