Cameroon

Location Cameroon. Blue pin on the map.“For God so loved [the people of Cameroon] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

The Republic of Cameroon is a country in Central Africa. Nigeria, Chad, the Central African Republic, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and the Republic of the Congo are bordering nations. Cameroon is Africa in miniature. The country has mountains, beaches, rain forests, savannas, and deserts. Cameroon has a population of more than 22 million. Its capital is Yaoundé.

Cameroon’s official languages are French and English. The national motto is: “Peace—work–fatherland.” Today we pray that all the Cameroonian people will be “justified by faith” and “have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1).
