“For God so loved [the people of the Central African Republic] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). The Central African Republic (CAR) is a landlocked country in—you guessed it—Central Africa. Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of the Congo, and Cameroon are bordering nations.
The CAR has a population of almost five million. Its capital and largest city is Bangui. The CAR’s official languages are Sango and French. The national motto is: “Unity, dignity, work.” Today we pray that all the Central African people will embrace the dignity of life in Christ and “walk in the same way in which he walked” (1 John 2:6).
