The Republic of Guinea (formerly known as French Guinea) is a country in West Africa. The nation is
bordered by Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Senegal, and Sierra Leone. Guinea has a
population of about 11 million. Its capital and largest city is Conakry.
Guinea’s official language is French. The national motto is: “Work, justice, solidarity.” The predominant
religion is Islam. Today we pray that every Guinean will hear the Gospel of God’s grace and escape the
spiritual poverty depressing any people that rejects God’s glorious Son.
