Monty Lawley has served as an elder of the Seagoville congregation since 2006. The son of L. M. and Wilma Lawley, Monty was born in Dallas and raised in Pleasant Grove. He attended W. W. Samuell High School. In 1971, he married his lovely wife, Treon Pinson. The Lawleys have two sons. Lindy is a fireman, and Tanner a professional artist. Monty and Treon have five grandchildren, two grandsons and three granddaughters.
By profession, Monty is a painting and general construction contractor. On five or six trips to Tanzania, he has used his skills to build or improve facilities needed by the church and preaching school in Arusha. Monty’s favorite pastimes are fishing and hunting.
