I O ked at Simon Peter, He saw a fiery impulsive person. When Jesus o He made promises that he could not keep, and began works that he could not finish. He thought he could walk on the water without any problems but: “But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, lord, save me” (Matthew 14:30). When they captured Jesus, Peter: “having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear” (John 18:10). Peter, even went so far as to deny Jesus after boasting that he would die before he would deny Him (Matthew 26:26-75 ). However, in spite of all these weaknesses, Jesus could see Peter as a diamond in the rough. After the resurrection, Jesus called upon Peter to love Him and to tend His sheep (John 21:15-17). From this time forward, Peter lived and died for Jesus (John 21:18-19). As you live your life, remember, to have the attitude of Peter. Just like Peter, we can live our lives and be faithful to Christ. We can have our sins forgiven and be added to the Kingdom of Christ. The reality is that Heaven is worth living a life for Christ. Taking the time to live under the pressures around us with God’s Word in the center of our lives.
